303f is a four-man formation creating electronic music they call atmospheric techno. Aiming to produce their own tracks and play them live on stage, they add uplifting sounds, melody and percussion to elevate regular techno to atmospherical proportions. Having performed at various gigs ranging from the smallest private clubs through the planets bigger festivals, 303f is earning credibility in the electronic music scene.

Inspired by the emerging acid house and detroit techno, all members started creating music individually in the early 90's. They have all produced various electronic and non-electronic music ranging from ambient to techno and jungle to rock. Inspired by live acts such as Orbital and Underworld, the band was founded by Ralph Jacobs and Jeroen van Langen in the year 2000.
Arnhem, a small city in the east of The Netherlands, was and still is the home base for the band. Most new musical ideas are formed at jamsessions in and around this city. Soon after 303f had started Martijn Jacobs, Ralph's older brother, joined the band. His skills in percussion and his professional and technical view on music turned out te be an excellent contribution to 303f's atmospheric style.
At the beginning of 2001 the band had completed enough tracks to make up for a live set. 303f's first live gigs at small venues in Arnhem are remembered by only a handfull of people as already legendary performances.
While still regularly producing new material, the band began performing at commercial parties about a year later. A growing number of techno enthusiasts was dancing their heads off at the multilayered techno atmosphere 303f is known for today. Adriaan Wormgoor joined the band at the end of 2002 adding vocals on the atmospheric side and management and public relations on the down-to-earth reality side
In 2003 the track 'Looking Forward' became theme song for outdoor dance event Impulz, and was also featured on the Impulz compilation album. That same year, only two years after their first live set, 303f performed live at globally known summer dance festival Dance Valley near Amsterdam. Their performance was recorded on video and featured on that year's Dancevalley DVD.
The year 2004 brought more live occurrences of 303f. Highlights were the performance at the Liberation Day festivities in Wageningen and their live gig in a church at Ruigoord, Amsterdam. Also that year, dj's worldwide got a chance to include the typical 303f sound in their sets as the bands first vinyl record 'Shine' was released on the Technique / Basic Beat label.
Nowadays 303f is still producing new and groundbreaking material and works on various ways to refine and enhance its live performance. Their next vinyl record will be 'Rising' and will arrive at the record stores in June 2005!
