Muzikism proudly presents another Rotterdam based label : EC Records!
EC Records was founded in in 1993 by Michel de Heij. Last mentioned started this label to show the musical world that there was more to the city of Rotterdam, than the then-present musical direction; club and house. The label has developed into one of the leading progressive/techhouse/techno labels of today, harbouring artists such as Secret Cinema, Grooveyard, Coming Soon, Literon and offcourse Michel himself. With classic material in the form of Grooveyard’s Watch me now and Secret Cinema’s Timeless Altitude and floor fillers such as: White men can’t funk, and Ozonic, EC Records has earnt great respect throughout the dance music and club scene. Over the years, most respected international DJ’s have played EC material from Richie Hawtin to Mr C and from Sven Vath to Carl Cox.
